This organization was first established by a group of domino players, a board game deeply embedded in Caribbean culture. Most evenings, at every bar throughout the region, the game is fiercely contested between 2 teams of 2 players each. Originally referred to as "The Domino Club" BCACA gradually morphed into a more structured organization with fully seated members who are lead by an elected executive body. With this formalization came a broader platform merging Caribbean culture with classic American celebrations.

Since 2011, the Brandon Caribbean American Cultural Association (BCACA) is a 503 (c)(3) non-profit and is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a voluntary service organization under TIN #453164759. Our mission, through volunteerism, is to provide life changing support for the underserved and less fortunate within the Brandon community and beyond. We continue to meet the nutritional and material needs of homeless families, contribute monetarily towards medical research, and provide school supplies for children eager to learn. Our efforts will do not end there. The recently elected leadership body is seeking new ways in which the organization can have an even more favorable impact on those in need.

BCACA is partnering with other like-minded charitable organizations in order to be a greater blessing to those in our community. With the help of corporate sponsorship, BCACA hopes to be the conduit for additional resources such as scholarship funding so that deserving children in underserved communities can pursue a higher education. In these endeavors we remain resolute and hope to build a greater community, one family at a time. Committed to fostering community spirit, we bring together members while promoting cultural heritage and supporting local initiatives through our dominoes activities.
